noah's booties

Inspired by the gorgeous wee booties on brooklyntweed I searched out this free pattern from Saartje's knits. These are work in progress shots of course ... but I'm a little worried that I may have created a noah's ark!

round and round

I'm making a brooklyn tweed 'raspy' jersey for my beloved ... endless rounds of knitting ... I now understand why knitting is the new yoga ... I end up totally 'zen'ed out after 20 minutes. The aroha pillow is from native agent a wonderous store in Auckland NZ.

A Scottish friend of mine told me about these gloves that are traditionally made in the village she grew up in of sanquhar ... another project!

mixing a potion

I've often been told I'm much like a witch when I'm hunched over my colourful potions, dyeing fabrics ... so I was quite amused when I looked at the dye liquor in this photo I took ... it seems there is indeed a little bit of magic going on in my dyeroom!
